About Me
I'm Vanessa, and developed Kyknos from a desire to use my proven skills in making the planning and delivery of projects or tasks, large or small, engaging and executed in a way that suits the team size and dynamics.
Why the name 'Kyknos'? Kyknos is the Greek word for swan, and in my spare time I monitor the local swan population and assist in wildlife rescues, with a focus on the swans. A hobby which requires good planning, a calm approach and team work.

Career Summary
With over two decades of experience across life sciences, manufacturing, and consultancy, I’ve built my career around helping organisations turn ambitious ideas into practical, successful outcomes. I’ve led major business change projects — from multimillion-pound laboratory relocations to launching new scientific services — always with a focus on project simplicity, team motivation, and quality outputs. I enjoy working closely with senior leaders and technical teams alike, bringing together people, processes, and purpose to deliver results that make a lasting difference.
My experience is not solely focussed on end to end project delivery, I also have over 25 years experience in the authoring, review and approval of technical reports and quality management system documentation. Expertise and understanding which compliments my project management and which is offered under my 'Administrative' services.
